The Trouble With Money Between Friends

Have you ever lent money to a friend? Did you ever get paid? Did they pay it on time or did you have to remind them?

Lending money to a friend could be the end of that friendship. Money changes the dynamics of the relationship in which one becomes superior to the other. That's not how a relationship should be. Yes, I understand the "friend in need" and by all means, if you have the capability, you should extend a hand. But what if you know that it was going to be spent on something frivoulous? Would you act like a "parent" to your friend? Or is that none of your business?
