L-O-V-E

After suffering through the stupidity and inanity of "American Dreamz", I finally saw a movie that helped boost the number of brain cells that I have. This movie is one of the best that I have seen so far this year. It's a family drama about an 11-year old girl from the ghetto of East LA who is good enough to get to the National Spelling Bee competition. Although the ending can be predicted, it is her journey that becomes the emotional story of the movie.

The winning word is pulchritude... which means "great physical beauty and appeal".
