God's Little Paradise

Tawala Beach, Panglao, Bohol, Philippines

This is where I went to spend Good Friday and Easter weekend with some friends. It wasn't so much of a religious experience but more like we've never been there. I have made a promise that everytime I'm back in the Philippines, I will go to a part of it that either I have never been before or have seen it previously but want to come back to it.

This beach reminds me so much of Waikiki. The shore is about as wide at high tide. Except at Panglao, the sand is white and the water, with shades of blue and green. There are the usual bars and restaurants along the shoreline where one could just sit and contemplate and wonder at the beauty of it all. Or eat, drink and be merry! Due to the local holiday, the place was fairly subdued.

There's not a lot of tourists (local or otherwise) in this place, unlike Puerto Gallera or Boracay, which makes this place a much more desirable place to be. Whether one is a sun-worshipper or just want to be away from the crowd, this is a great place to be. I'd come back here any minute!
