When you told me that you went for an interview with a future employer based abroad, my heart sank a little bit. In my panic, I asked you (stupidly on my part) if this is what you really want. You never said yes or no. I then realized that by asking that question, I am being presumptous in thinking that what you have now is all that you should want. I want to apologize to you for thinking that. I know you also have dreams and aspirations. Not only for yourself but for your family, too. I want you to know that whatever it is that you dream of, I am here to support you and help you make it come true if I can. I want you to always think I care for you and your dreams. I want you to know that wherever you may end up going in pursuit of your dream, I will always be there next to you. Not physically, of course, but in spirit. I want you to know that even if your dreams don't end up as what you really wanted, I will still be here, hoping to make it right for you. I want you to know that when you think you're not loved by anyone, I do. I love you and will always will (there I said it!).

For a moment, all I could think of was I may never see you again. That's being selfish. Forgive me for only thinking about myself. I have often wondered if you were "the one that got away". Even if you were, I have to learn to let you go. As hard as I try to be the one for you, I know that it will never happen. You have brought out so much emotion from me that it has been one rollercoaster ride. I will never trade that experience with anything in this world.
