In A Blink Of An Eye

A very good friend of mine ended up in the hospital because of a penetrating wound on his neck. He decided to fight these three guys who held him up on his way home at 1 a.m. He was able to ran away and call out for help. The three guys, of course, ran away and left him when they saw people coming. My friend didn't even notice he was bleeding profusely until later. I spoke to him twice already and he sounded fine, just tired of the ordeal. Understandably, I am concerned as he is one of people that I care for deeply.

So this one's for him:

Your whole life must have passed right infront of you. I totally understand your need to defend yourself and your possessions. But at what price? You are very lucky you were not killed! There is nothing in this world that can replace you. I wouldn't know what to do without you. When I heard your voice when I called, I wanted to cry in relief. I am thankful that nothing worse has happened to you. I did ask myself what would I do if you were hurt really bad. The first thing that I could think of was to fly to where you are and let you know that there are other people (other than your family) who care and love you. I wanted to make sure that I told you that I love you. I wanted to be able to touch your hand again. SO DON'T EVER BE THIS STUPID AGAIN! Because I don't know if I can handle it. Because it would be a very sad day if you were to leave that way. Because I'd rather see you holding someone else; at least, I'd know you're still alive. Because I love you.
